Face Painting

Face Painting is a wonderful addition to any party or family celebration, it’s fun and even the shyest child or ‘coolest ‘ teenager can be tempted to have themselves painted.

I am able to paint almost anything so long as I have an idea of what it looks like, I rarely use books, preferring to paint from imagination, mine and the childs! 

Popular subjects include fairies and princesses, pirates and monsters, butterflies, flowers, dolphins, unicorns, super heros and animals. I have painted at masked balls producing beautiful eye designs for ladies which complemented their outfits, at sporting events where team colours and logos were requested, and at store promotions where particular themes or characters were required.

To make the experience safe as well as fun I follow a strict code of practice regarding hygiene including use of one sponge per face and regular clean water.  I use  professional cosmetic grade products designed for use on the face and body. They are hypoallergenic, have anti bacterial properties and are FDA / EU / EEC compliant, approved or have followed the guidelines set by these bodies. 

I am a member of FACE the face painting association, I am covered with £5,000,000 public liability insurance and have been CRB checked.

Please note that due to conditions of insurance and recommendations of the face paint manufacturers I am unable to paint children under the age of 3 years. 

Body Painting
All or part of the body painted to your choice of theme.

Gestational Bump Painting
Have a unique momento of this very special time in your and your baby’s life. I can create an individual painting on your bump which will make a lovely addition to your baby book or album. I can work from your ideas or offer suggestions of designs that would work well. A painting session usually lasts between 1-2 hours and can be very relaxing.  

Balloon Modelling

Minimum age for Balloon Twisting: 2 years old
Balloon modelling is perfect for children of all ages and can be booked on its own or with face painting.

I am a basic balloon twister but can make children’s favourites such as dogs, mice, horses, swords, flowers, hats, wasps, spacemen, butterflies, dinosaurs, fairy wings and many more. 

Please note that I do make balloon weapons, if requested, so if you would rather I did not please make this clear when booking. I am always happy to honour parents wishes in this regard. 

Temporary Tattoos
Max of 25 Children for a 2 hour party
Minimum age for Temporary Tattoos: 3 years old
Temporary transfer tattoos are perfect for children who are too ”grown up” for face painting or don’t like sitting still long enough to be painted !

I use a wide range of designs including insects, dinosaurs, pirates, fairies, glitter and tribal emblems. These transfer tattoos can last between 2 - 5 days before they start to wear off. They are waterproof but easily removed with alcohol or baby oil.

Funky Hair
Funky hair is a fun addition to any event. These synthetic hair pieces come in a wide range of colours and are easily attached to small sections of the hair using covered bands like mini pony tails. 

They can be used to enhance facepainting; a combination of green and black hair for a halloween witch, pink and lilac highlights for a princess, a golden mane for a lion !

Mini Makeover Parties

Minimum age for a Mini Makeover: 5 years old
These are is great for girls who would like a more sophisticated option for their party.

Nail Varnish with Decorative Stickers
Funky hair ( Coloured clip-in hair )
Eye design face painting
Glitter and temporary tattoos
Stick on jewels and bindis

Wounds and Bruises
Max of 10 Children for a 2 hour party
Minimum age:  5 years old
Not as painful as it sounds!  These realistic fake wounds, bruises, cuts, burns and grazes can be a fun alternative to face painting. The gorier the “injury “ the happier the children are!

I use the same quality products as the film and TV industry do to create realistic looking injuries and have used my casualty simulation skills at Halloween events and First Aid training courses.
