Terms & Conditions

I am covered with public liability insurance of £5,000,000 and have an enhanced CRB disclosure certificate.

It is the responsibility of the host to ensure that any child wishing to have their face painted has the permission of their parent/guardian. Please note I cannot take responsibility for the welfare and safety of children waiting to be painted,
please ensure that children are adequately supervised. At public events, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The products used are hypoallergenic which should help to minimize the chance of a reaction. If concern remains over sensitivity to products, please request a skin patch test at the begining of the event, if there is no obvious sign of a reaction after an hour the child should be safe to be painted, hands and arms can be painted as an alternative to the face.

I will not paint a child under the age of 3 years, this is due to insurance restrictions and the recommendations of the face paint manufacturers.

I reserve the right to refuse to paint a person where it is judged inappropriate due to age or behaviour. If a child cannot keep still enough to have their face painted safely, an alternative area may be painted if suitable. I will NOT under any circumstances paint a child who clearly does not wish to be painted, shows confusion, distress or anxiety or who is asleep, regardless of parents’ wishes.

I reserve the right not to paint offensive symbols or subjects.

I reserve the right to refuse to paint individuals that show symptoms of medical conditions, including, but not limited to; cold sores, open wounds/broken skin, heavy cold with runny nose, conjunctivitis, various infectious skin diseases or infected skin. I will not paint bruised, sunburnt or broken skin.

I always use water-soluble paints and in nearly all cases they are non-staining. I promise to take care in their use but will not take responsibility for spilled paint or soiled clothing so please provide adequate protection where necessary.
Clothes that have been in contact with face paint should be washed with biological washing powder, if marks prove stubborn to remove use a stain removing agent such as Biotex or Vanish.

If, in the event of accident or illness the face painter is unable to honour the booking she will contact the client and if at all possible will arrange for a suitable replacement to be found.

To cancel a booking I require a minimum of 14 days notice or the full fee will be payable.
